Tunis, 23 May 2025 — The International University of Tunis (UIT) had the pleasure of hosting the latest edition of Night Talk in partnership with the network of EU Jeel Connect Tunisia, the interactive evening debate dedicated to one of the most significant issues of our times: Digital Transition & Education.
The event brought together students, educators, tech entrepreneurs, and EU representatives to share how digital transformation is changing the face of the education sector in Tunisia and beyond.
Insights from the Field The night started with a warm welcome from the EU Jeel Connect in Tunisia and some words from UIT's leadership highlighting the university's commitment to digital innovation and international collaboration.
The panel welcomed inspiring guest speakers:
- The Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Tunisia discussed the opportunities that can add to Tunisian students and innovators in a variety of higher studies programs.
- EDTrust founder Firas Dhaouidi discussed how AI and digital tools can help build secure, personalized learning experiences.
- AI enthusiast and educator Walid Ksiaa called on Tunisia to invest in digital skills, infrastructure, and school reform to keep pace with global changes.
Youth Opportunities: The audience was introduced to powerful European Union programs such as Erasmus+, and Horizon Europe. These programs provide excellent opportunities for Tunisian youth to engage in academic exchange, collaborative research, and innovation in education.
A Night of Engaging Discussion: Moderated by Tesnime Khemiri, UIT student and project manager, the panel discussion was interactive with the audience. Students asked reflective questions about online learning challenges, the future of hybrid education, and the required digital skills in tomorrow's job market.
